Yall ever try to make an entertainment system look good when you have 15 systems to hook up? Well thays exactly what I am trying to do in the game room. The "third" room is what we call it in our house but essentially its my Youtube recording, Music recording , podcast recording area and game room all in one.
For a while now, I have been wanting to have all the systems hooked up at once in a way that looks good and is functional. So I did some research and started clearing the space.
The first step was mounting the TV, but I had to pick the right TV for the job. We have a few lying around and the one that would be the best was not compatible with most mounts...darn. It was indeed the perfect TV due to the copious amounts of inputs which included the elusive VGA input for my beloved dreamcast. But alas, some things are just not meant to be it seems.
Nevertheless I quickly got started on the mounting process. The mount I chose extends put pretty far, rotates and tilts and all that. After I found the studs...it was cake. But I knew all long that the cord management would be the biggest hurdle and even though I am not done, I am very happy with the results thus far.
Some zippered sleeves from Amazon came in quick and got started. Still waiting for extra HDMI cables and switches to come in to finish the job!
